Good day Cricketfarm how is the weather in CANADA my friend ?

Your BCM hen is good to breed from . here what I see;
good body type
nice body color ( the black part are black and the coppery part are copper too )
nice head well colored
comb nice size and form well serrated BUT has a sprig on the front 2 dent.
wattles great shape and form .
Hackle nice copper color .
Feathered shank
nice tail form and Angle

What bad about her;
eyes not great color ( orange red ) a little dark.
body feathers too fluffy at the rear and legs . ( they should be nice and tight )
her back is fluffy too giving t a cushion type look ( should be long ,nice and flat free from fluff )

Should be mated to a Rooster with a correct back and body feathers type Plus a good eyes and comb.

the most important thing is the color of her eggs. if she lay dark one ( like you said) than she s breeder regardless of the fault.)

We don t want a gorgeous looking hen s ho fail to lay a dark egg .

Dark egg is the trade mark of the marans.

they are gorgeous .great eyes on all off them .some are well colored other are too black.

here the one they should go forward . NEED better photos of them Nu 2 ,3,5,6. this four are going to be well coloured when Adult. they are a good type too

at this early age. they showing great .

shoulder color.
hackles color.
chest color
nice lighter ears tufts.

try to get different shot from different angle one cockerel at the time .so I can give you a better idea ho is ho .

you have to number them for me .so we don t mix them up ( or keep them is this order 2,3,5,6 .I know them like that)

Have you managed to hatch any girls?

I can tell they come from a well work out line for sure .you don t get those great eyes and well body color by chance.

Hey everyone. I have been keeping up with this thread and figured it is time to officially join. It will be easier than searching for it each time. I have already learned a lot from the posts here and will have to get photos of all mine to put on. Ours don't look quite as nice as our hens are all wearing saddles at the moment. It is a sorry sight!
