my friend, a breeder from athens has just told me than they throw packs from about 10-15 meters. they are complete idiots.

they are idiots .they have no clue how much trouble peoples are going through.

we ll beat them with a quantity . don t worry about it.

they are going to stay idiots for thr rest of they life .

we ll find another way to get the eggs.

when I returned from the south africa trip about 3 years ago, my suitcase and another bag were broken and 1 shoe and 1 t-shirt came on the tape about 10 minutes later. I am talking about the athens airport. although the johannesburg airport started the game. there was a dubai airport in the middle.

bad news from greece: eggs arrived, a lot of them broken, the other ones gone bad. they probably were left for hours at the airport at 40+ celsius. only 6 black copper eggs might be good. I guess summer is not good time to post eggs to greece. it is such a waste.

I will take good care of him, Bello and Claude. How to you keep your roosters? Are they in a batchelor pen? When I put my three together Bello has them cowering on the ground in a heap. Right now while everyone is in lock down each rooster is in a coop with about 10-12 hens. I let them out every night for an hour, I clean the water buckets and reset them for the morning, remove all the food and clean the coop a little. So they get to be out for a little while and I am with them the whole time. I started in the Spring with 100 chickens. I am down to 45 soon to be 41 when the Ameraucana cockerels go this weekend. I sold the Bielefelders. I culled many many BCM, Cuckoo, Ameraucana, Bielefelder cockerels very early. I lost some to predators.

I had no problem to introduce marco (luna's brother) to his father mario and his flock. I wonder if mario knows it is his son, lol. the hens were bitches for a while. luna escaped to her previous coop so I left her. she is young anyway and does not need a horny roo.

marco is a cull. I will rehome him this month. a guy from the feed store wants him and as he usually gives me good prices + some feed more than I pay for I prefer to give him marco for free. people here don't understand that chickens are not just chickens and want to buy good breeds with a price of mutts. and they would probably make a soup a few months later.

I work with a butcher . he call up to the farm and does his job.

he get payed by taking a third of the cull chooks ( I ll give him 30 out of 100. Good deal to me and to him .both happy) .I don t have to touch them strait into the freezer .I haven t bought chooks meat since I start rising the chooks. Marans chooks are the best testing chooks out there, especially the wheaten and the buff strain from western Australia. Class

we did over a 1000 chooks this year ( 2015 breeding season ) .

me I have no problem cooking them or killing them . a problem is my dogs . they don t eat fresh chicken HAS to be cooked .Guess they can smell they friends .
