all this 3 are brother /sisters from a same father VICKING and sister hens OSLO and STOCKHOLM all 3 of the are a result of the F2 X F2 = so they are a true F3.
both they parent where Birchen carrying a recessive e+ and Co genes. both this genes are recessive to the Birchen ER genes .so they do show up if the line was crossed to another Birchen lines.
This is one of the reason I insist we should mate the F2 between them selves to see if any recessive genes are hiding there.
if we keep doing this forward crossing we ll never see a faultless /true breeding chooks.
this year I m mating them together to get the true F1 Colombian strain and a Silver/Golden Salmon .
they are big chooks ,great type.I m happy about them .a long way to go to breed them true and stabelize them..
