Well... they have other good qualities. Can't throw the baby out with the bath water. Chooks man will be telling us to be patient.

Yes I know.. you and him are always in my head when I look at my Marans. I will be keeping one or two of the cockerels just in case I need them. Luckily with a pressure cooker you can tenderize even the toughest of tough old birds for when I do decide to cull them.

I have to keep reminding myself that I will not correct everything in one generation. So I compare the cockerels to their sire and there is improvement. They are better than their sire for the most part so the fact that they aren't worse is a small victory.

Yes she is a very beautiful girl. The first photo is worth framing or belongs in a magazine. Very nice.

Your roosters look like twins, best I can tell. Nearly identical! They are nice boys.
