He definitely has an identity crisis! There is something wrong with this cockerel. He is of my breeding. He is two weeks older than the cockerels pictured below. He is from the same hens and Antonio. He is in the last picture. Look at his comb, his coloring, his size. I have never had a BCM like this.

nice to hear there are people like me who feed chickens, care for them and rehome them. I also hope to start eating what I produce instead of buying god knows what.[/QUOTE
Yes mam, I agree! I think I'm going to process a couple real soon.

Clean legged? Aren't your birds all feather legged? Can feather legged throw clean legged?
None of my birds are clean legged and I hadn't thought of that either. I don't know about feathers throwing clean. Kfelton0002 swears he is one of mine but I don't know what happened. LOL He/she is a hot mess.Clean legged? Aren't your birds all feather legged? Can feather legged throw clean legged?
They look good, good shape and hatch down looks good. Only thing i see right off is 3 and 4 have feathers on the middle toe. I Couldn't help you with the sex of them though.View attachment 1359258 View attachment 1359257 View attachment 1359256 View attachment 1359255 View attachment 1359254 View attachment 1359253 View attachment 1359252 View attachment 1359246 Tried to get good pics of the new chicks (these are Alchemist Farm). They sure seem spunky for just traveling the full length of the country. I've ordered from them before and never had a sick chick. Lighting is as natural as I can get for now. @RedBanks![]()
#1 & #2 These are some very, very nice looking chics. If I remember Chooks Man's teaching less white, especially around the eyes is RIGHT ON.
