I found my marco dead he had canker and bumble foot. but I think heat killed him.

I have his son who is skinny. I hope he had nothing but worms. I found some tapeworms in droppings and wormed the whole marans flock.

So sorry.... you have had some bad luck. Poor Marco.

I love names of greek Gods and Godesses for naming my breeders. I probably would call him Zeus or Hercules if he were mine. Or you could stay true to his French ancestry and give him a french name like Beau (pronounced Bo) which is french for beautiful, which he is.

Sure I will compare them all ASAP. I know how it is when you need to thin out cockerels. It definitely gets annoying having so many teenage cockerels around as they start coming of age. Lol

I dropped all my other breeds and kept only my Marans. They are addicting.... sweet and challenging.

I was wondering were you been, i was hoping you didn't fly the coop like ole chooks man did. We need all the knowledge we can get around here.
