first hatch 4 week old today .

more than 3/4 are pullets .only few cockerels and nice one too .
Dalakhania Splash hen and Kako DW hens throw a best body type so far from the first pairing .

new hatch .few days old .1 CLB pullets in there too .look at the size difference .
this group #2 Hatch3 from the second pairing produced better body type chicks and well feathered legs

Chooksman, Did you like any out of the pen with 4 hens. They are in with my Blue Copper Cockerel. Got to keep him safe. I think only one is a possibility.

Day Walker is gainning his confidence . his feathers start to look good { no more fighting} he like the new pen .he was not happy in the bottom pen. roosters in all side. in the new pen he only has to deal with his brother Enki and Golden Boy .they know each other

hopping for some high fertility from him .I penned him with all my best of the best hens . all my eggs in one basket .not good .but I have to to do it .need to fix the body type and egg colour and shape before I do any thing else . no point in painting the house if it is not build .has to be build first .

The one facing the wall? That's the one I was thinking. The one next to her not bad but floppy comb.

here what you need to do to solve the egg mistry .
get your self couple large cheap bird cages . put them some where side by side . when you hens/pullets start laying . lock them in the cage for a week or 2 to get to know they eggs .
side by side one hen in each cage they will give each other company .
you need to know your hens .every thing about them .
you only need 3 hens .correct body type .nice straight comb { No bent comb} well feathered legs and nice tail .they all should lay dark egg .
alway keep your rooster Black birchen .the hens they can be Black and Blue .
