Thank you! Some of those pics are of the same bird. I will edit the post and number them. I am letting them mature until I make my final selections. They change so much and have filled out a ton.

They look great! They have really good color. My pullets from this year havent started laying yet.

They are the only two laying now. At least we are getting something.

I agree, I like the beefier ones best. There are a few more free ranging but one is hard to get close to and one doesn't have a tail for whatever reason. It is coming in but he is slow to feather.

I noticed a little something on Prince today. See that white primary feather in his wing?

He gets that from his dam.. Queen.

take photos of his open wing to see how bad it is ,was always there and is going away or it is start to come out?

it is a serious problem for back crossing to the Dam if the trait come from her .let me know please .we have to sort it out before your breeding season start .

when selecting the cockerels ,the beefier ones ar not allways th best .
cockerel should be with a correct body type even if he is small .we look for th shape of th body , brick like ,size will come latter .
cockerel should has a complete body pattrn or closer too .
cockerel should have correct Stand ,Elegant and free from any deformity .
cockerel should be sound with a good head ,eyes and smaller comb .
cockerel should be hatched fom dark egg .his dam should be a dark eggs layer .

Mass will come from Mom .
@kfelton0002 all your cockerels are beefier bcause they dams { your hens } are heavy and large .
Duke adedd the length of the back .lowered the tail angle .and added some body colour .

Queen had a white primary feather that persisted after her adult molt, so the white came from her. He didn't have the feather as a cockerel, but it showed up as he molted this year. This was his first adult molt. I will be putting him with Duchess (Duke's sister from Harvey). I'm not sure it would be wise to cross full brother-sister (Prince x Malika) because of the white. I haven't noticed any white on Malika but I haven't handled her since her molt.
