those chicks have nice leg feathering .
the cockerel in front of the rump look like the one with extra feathering on the lower part of his thigh . rest they look good to me .well feathered .
they middle toes are all clear from any feathers .great ,so worrying please .let them grow .

At 12 weeks what should I be looking for in the roosters?

Need help identifying if these are BCM! Bought from breeder 12 weeks ago but only one looks like a BCM. They have different colored leg bands to differentiate them one from another. Let me know if you need more pics. they are not pure marans .they are crossed with Australorp chooks .
the is one pullet look pure marans with dark eyes but she marans looking . this pullet

she is stunning in all area except she has dark eyes .bad
mated to cockerel with bright orange eyes will throw some nice and correct chicks .
love her body type and hackle marking .gorgeous copper quality . breeder caliber for sure .

at 12 week cockerel { not rooster} should be plum , long ,wide at shoulder .nice well spaced legs . well feathered .green/blue eyes turning to orange . early feathering type ,should have tail . nice comb

they change so many time in next 4/5 months .so it is not point selecting to early except if they are showing major fault like ,they are very small .lucking vigor . etc.....
