There are 2 Splash pullet chicks so I will keep them for you. The rest are cockerels.

#3 egg colour is not classify marans by SOP standard . minimum #4 .
yes for sure the lighter eggs will hatch better ,but if we want those lighter eggs we should breed RIR or some thing else .
we do not make the SOP neither the genetic make up of marans chooks .but we have to breed them to they full glory . what the SOP call for .
best marans hen is a hen with a correct conformation .lay 180 eggs a year majority of those egg should be #6 . balanced hen
no extreme . extreme always produce problems .

Mis translation??? I was not contradicting anything in the SOP What I said was I would rather have a hen that laid 3 eggs that were a #7 on the egg chart, than a hen that laid 5 eggs that were a #4 on the egg chart. Sorry if I did not say it correctly TOM

Yes, I need them cockerels gone. If I can't sell them. We will have to butcher them. Not looking forward to that! I hope they sell this weekend.
