I was planning on trying for some olive Eggers. I didn’t know the barred rock made midnight majesty marans.

I have 4 olive Eggers that are laying 3 lay light green and one lays light tan. So I have at least 3 with at least one copy of the blue eggs gene. And 3 more possible candidates once they start laying I’ll know if the have the blue gene.

Would my light Brahma, Jersey Giant, or Wyandottes make anything more than a barnyard mix?

Yes sir, sex linked. All cockerels will be barred. Pullets will be black, with some showing a hint of copper in the hackles. So they say in advertising. Mine that just passed away was all black and I believe @NanaK has 4 that are all black also. Eggs are notorious for being speckled. If you run back 5 or so pages she posted pics of them and their pretty eggs.
Here's pics of my Olive Eggers I just sold. All 3 were almost identical in coloring as the Copper (red) is dominant. I'm still learning genetics of course but they all had pea combs & feathered legs. None had muffs.

Finally able to get a few crappy shots of the babies... 20 wks old. 11-4-23. I (in my limit knowledge) really like how these 3 are growing out so far.
Dark Angel is red band @Chooks man
Copper is black band
Raven is no band
My grand daughter wanted to name the other 2 and she loved the name Raven I suggested from @marchick

Raven still has a white feather tip showing on her right side. It's been windy here where you see the ruffled feathers and tail in some pics
Tell me your thoughts so far good and bad...

all the 3 breed you montioned they are not ofr eggs colour they can t help you in that area .eggs colour .
your olive eggers have one copy of the blue gene you can cross them to other breed and bred back to the olive egger because the Blue egg gene is dominant

@Chooks man, thank you very much, my friend. That really means a lot coming from your vast knowledge. I'll be sure to get more better pics soon. Sadly I'm still not sure what hens I pulled eggs from but I did only set the darkest I had.
This is exciting and gives me some hope and encouragement to get the hens tagged and test mated. I'll be setting a lot of eggs come spring and I know questions will be coming. Thank you again.

I have 5 olive Eggers and that all look different. 4 came from rual king. They all have clean legs and pea combs. One is all black, beardless. One is black with some color in her cape, and bearded. One is back, beardless, full color cape. And one all blue and bearded she lays light brown.

The last one I hatched from the same breeder as I got the marans eggs from she is blue full cape and bearded. Still waiting on her to lay.

Here's some pics of Kong from July.
Could you point out where on him is a proper color? If there is any proper color of course?
Would it be his wing bow? That's a pretty deep reddish. Different lighting makes it so hard to tell pic from pic. It almost looks like he has a slight/soft halo in some pics but I don't see it in person.
I realize his color isn't uniform thru out, he's over colored in the chest, and he's narrow from front to back but I love him to death... He's such a Goober. 🤪

Edited to add... The pic of his back , him crowing is more like I see daily.

At what outside temps does everyone fire up their incubators? Consitant overnight lows of?
Or do you just start hatching at a certain month because they are going to need additional heat anyway? I have heatlamps and a brooder plate. My coops are in the barn (pole barn, concrete floor) and I have a brooder pen attached to the Marans coop for separation when needed.
