you are one of the best marans breeder out there ,internationly I m tolking , shame your marked doesn t suport a high price for your work ,Blessingyou see, it can be hard to know the real color of eggs displayed on the internet. Lighting makes a real difference, and people selling marans eggs have used lighting to make their eggs look darker than natural sunlight would show. Simple filters can enhance eggs, too. It sort of looks like they may be filtering because the egg chart next to those eggs doesn't have much variation. I might just be a little aghast at that price, though... phew! I charge 10 dollars straight run, pick up only for chicks, but my local market won't support much higher, and I don't want to overcharge anyone. Breeding chickens doesn't usually make enough profit to live off of, it is because you love it and you are trying to offset feed costs and cover for next year. That might be just me, though. I am certainly the least business like woman around.
