Intro for 6 weekers to 3 weekers. What's normal behavior? Tips?

Hello. I'd appreciate any help to get my almost 6weekers introduced to my 3 weekers. I have had them in side by side wire dog kennels for their brooder the whole time, but when ever I try to take one older chick and introduce them to the younger one out in front of their brooders, the older one just pecks right away. What is normal for the intro and to be expected. I hate to see my little cuties getting pecked at though I must admit. I'm sure some of it is normal however but how much? The older ones will most likely be going to the coop on tuesday should i try to put the little ones in their brooder too? TIA, Shelly

I have always introduced mine slowly with short interactions at first and always supervised in case some of the pecking got out of hand. Eventually they will establish the pecking order and the smaller ones will get out of the way. I've never had any seious problems. Good luck with yours.
