Hi I live in a suburban area in Southern Cali and because of the pandemic I've started raising chickens! I bought a trixie chicken coop and fenced off a place of my backyard and I just let them run around during the day and I lock them in the coop at night.
From the given template by Nifty Chicken, here's my intro:
1. I'm completely new to chickens. Never raised one before.
2. I'm starting conservatively with 4 chickens.
3. 2 Ameraucana, 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 Barred Rock, but I might need to trade the barred rock with my friend, who has a big farm with lots of chickens because I suspect one is a rooster and my community doesn't allow roosters
. I bought all the other ones from a store and they were sold already sexed. The barred rock is around a month old, the others 2 months.
4. They're just fun to look after, super cute, very active throughout the day. Plus, the eggs as well!
5. Running, piano, and biking.
6. I have 1 guinea pig, and a fish aquarium.
7. Whenever I had a question about chickens I googled it and this website always came up first so I decided to join.
