Intro

Hello I'm new to owning/raising chickens. I/We have 5 as of now we have a Blue Wyandotte(Blue), Welsummer (Luna), New Hampshire Red (Lila), Blue Plymouth Rock (Gray) and a Plymouth Rock (Nat). They are 2.5 weeks old now and I am starting to build a coop now/over the next couple of weeks.

The hen house will be 4x6 and the run will be 6x12 fully covered.They will free range when I'm out back relaxing or tending to the garden. I live in a small town in Northern California the heat is my biggest fear when it comes to the girls.

I have already learned so much from this forum as I have been reading and learning for the last couple months.
