Intro

Welcome to BYC. I am certain your experience will help many members.
I hope so, I love sharing my knowledge and experience with others. I want to help new people succeed. I know how hard it is to start off doing something and how silly you can feel when asking a question that seams stupid. IMO if you are asking a question because you truly want to learn then no such thing as a stupid question.

Exactly! Much of BYC is like a database of information. If someone makes a post asking something like "how do I cure bumblefoot," members here don't tell them to go search the thousands posts on how to fix it, but it's explained to them, or we'll give them the link to someone's article here that explains it perfectly.

There are so many helpful people here, and nobody judges.
That is a huge relief! I have been in many Facebook groups where people bully others out of the group for asking any type of question or if someone doesn’t do something the exact same way they do.

I know what you mean! There are some in those groups that we could say the sky is blue and they'd argue and tell us we're wrong. I only use those groups in my state for selling my chicks, and try not to read any posts. If I see someone with a really sick chicken getting stupid advice, I just reply with the link to our Emergency Forum and hope they'll post there for some real help.
