introduced my chickens to superworms today.(youtube)

pet store was out of crickets so i asked for large mealworms and the kid asked me if i wanted superworms. i never heard of them so i said sure. .10¢ a piece. and of course they were a hit.

That was great! Did you make sure that everybody got a worm? Hehe that's one of the hardest things to do is to make sure that everyone gets a bite of the treats I bring.

I'm going to try to grow some meal worms for my flock. Already it's getting harder to find a good bug these days, and with fall coming on, the good bugs are only going to get more scarce.

i try my best to keep it fair. i still have 36 large meal worms as well. the superworms were the size of 2.5 mealworms. so i only got 10 of them in addition to the mealworms.

Mine went BONKERS when I did this. They do a lot of running after whoever has something tasty in their mouth and snatching it away...I also got pecked when I gave these out, something they haven't done before or since!
