Search is an amazing thing when you decide to use it. And sometimes it raises more questions than answers. LOLI was just going to recommend that article
Sounds like your plan will probably work well.
I still think I could pull off brooding them in that nesting box with the old heating pad thingies (Mama Hen ???) and at 3.5 weeks transition them to the puppy gates/crates within the coop. But I got other things to do this weekend for the chicks, like connecting and predator proofing the run.
