Hi

I have strictly bantam chickens.
I got 3 new adult hens and made the introduction to my 4 member flock that is currently about 6 weeks old.
The older hens have been great with my youngsters. The younger birds are clearly the aggressors in anything that happens - especially my little roosters.

However, it’s as if I have two flocks until bedtime when they all roost together. Will this pass over time? Will a new pecking order be established eventually or is there something else I should be doing

Overall they are really okay with one another I just would like them to hang out with each other

Thanks

Completely normal. Once the chicks get to the point of lay things should smooth out a bit, but they'll likely continue to prefer spending more time with the other birds their age.

I've noticed that each group that was raised together tends to hang out together more often. They may mix together a little more over time, but for some reason, they seem to stay "besties" with who they know best. It's perfectly normal.
