Introducing a new bird to my flock! Help!

I have 7 banties and 1 brahama that were basically raised together, so they pretty much get along.. But i was wondering if it would go ok if i just introduced a single silkie pullet to the mix, or if my other chickens would hurt hur and also if it would be ok, how i would do it. Any tips help! Thanks!

Its best to introduce new birds in at least pairs. If you were to, make sure the new bird(s) aren't sick by quarantining them for your birds' safety. Make a pen where your chickens can see the new one and keep it that way for about a month and then introduce them while free-ranging all of them. They'll all fight for about a week but then the new pecking order will be in place.
