Introducing a new duck? Update on little Pepper!

They should be fine...let Toby get his fighting out of his system and they should be fine. Also, it's probably not mating if he grabs her neck from the front. I'm sure you know this, but before mating they will bob their heads and then the male will mount the female....you can tell the difference

yes thats why when he first went to her, i noticed he was not trying to mate with her. he was just being a big ole bully lol

update on pepper! we've decided to let her calm down some more, so we put toby and pepper on separate sides of the garage. pepper can fly over the divider, but Tobys too fat lmao! we have her multiple hiding spots and today she had come out and eaten and drank some. then she walked away to another little spot. she was more in the open this time. i think she's getting used to everything here. i hope she is! when she does get in with toby, he's not as rough with her. hopefully everything settles down and they become good friends. hopefully before the garage is completely covered in duck poo

PEPPER AND TOBY ARE FRIENDS NOW!!! she flew out and he went right to her, didn't attack her or anything, and showed her all around the yard. they're now swimming in the pond together. yayyyy!!!!!
