We hope we did this right. Here is a picture of two of the three chicks from the eggs we rescued on Friday. The third was still in the incubator when this picture was taken.
We rescued three eggs that were abandoned and had external pips. We were in the process of incubating duck eggs, so we quickly placed the three piped chicken eggs in with the duck eggs. The next day these adorable fuzz babies were hatched. It was a little crazy tryng to keep the humidity levels good for both the hatching chicken eggs and the incubating duck eggs at the same time. This is our first attempt at incubating any kind of eggs. Our duck eggs are going into "lockdown" tonight.
Can anyone tell us what breed of chicks these are? We are so proud of our baby fuzz balls!

it's hard for me to be able to tell the breed by just looking at their cute lil' heads. but they are VERY sweet! and i love the names!

The brown ones look like EEs to me, not sure what the little dark one is but I think he is the cutest.

I thought EE's have bluish eggs. The brownish colored ones came out of brownish eggs and the little black and white came out a bluish colored egg. They are all adorable, but I just love the little black and white cause he is differant:)
