Introducing ducks again?

That are pure mallards! The female mallard and the call pair seem to get along fine. Do you think that it will work?

Thanks. I'll keep (try!) to keep this updated and add some pictures of the ducks and their new coop.

I agree with Miss Lydia, what you tell sounds good. The ducks might get a little jealous at each other, but not necessarily and that usually does not cause any problems, just some quacking and pecking. Hope your ducks will be fine now :)
I am asking just because I am curious, are you a allowed to release mallards into the wild where you live?

Yes, we are allowed to release mallards. Do you think I should if I don't find a buyer? We have a pretty good-sized pond that we could release them on right next to our house. So....

NO!! Unless you plan to supply shelter and feed for them, don't release them. Even if they managed to survive in the wild, they'd be unafraid of people, which would be a major problem. They'd probably be able to fend for themselves, but might get eaten by a dog, or run over by a car, etc.

I wouldn't release them unless you are willing to feed them too, they are domesticated and will be dependent on you for food, at least till the ones that have migrated have come back in the spring then they will probably find their own mates and become wild. You sound like a responsible person and I'm sure they will be fine.
