Hi all!! I am not new to chicks but I am new to older chickens!
I have two ameruacana and two red stars.
One broody, two laying and one is indecisive!

Which is the broody hen? I've had red stars for years and none of them have ever shown any motherly tendencies
They are really great egg layers though.

Hello there from Calif. I too just joined this month. What is a "red star" have not heard of this breed.
Another question, (I am new to this adventure) What does "Broody" mean exactly? I thought it was a hen who was laying eggs. Do all hens start laying at the same age???
