Here, there, and everywhere
I have 8 chickens (7 hens, 1 rooster) and tonight I put in 6 new chickens (5 hens, 1 more rooster). The new rooster is a little bigger than my original rooster, will this cause more trouble? I'm open to any advice, I put them in at dusk and it all went pretty well, their roosting now, should that keep the fighting down?

I would make it a point to be there when they wake up and monitor. I usually introduce new birds slowly, with fencing between them so they can get to know each other. You are running a risk of a bloody mess of a rooster battle.

Me, I just throw the new chickens in with the old and call it a done deal. A few of the hens will flog & squawk each other briefly, sometimes it's a 20 chicken free for all brawl but usually in about an hour they're all acting like they've been best buddys all their life. The bigger the pen they have, the smoother it goes.
Roosters, on the other hand, may fight briefly or they may make a bloody mess out of each other like Impress said. They may fight for an hour, all day, or not at all, just depends on their personality. Worst case, you may have to make the decision to keep only 1 rooster.
