I hope this thread belongs here,

still trying to get all my questions out of the way before we bring birds home.
I am wanting a mixed flock of birds , I have chosen similar type birds, personality wise, none with aggressive tendancies (so they say) and all that are good brooders if needed.

obviously my chances of getting the varieties from the same breeder are slim, so do I need to do a special intro with new birds to birds already in the coop, if so, how is it done, how long? ( do they need to be quarintined??)

The standard for quarintine is 3 weeks to 30 days. Make sure that when they do go together they are about the same size. Littler chickens get beat up or can be killed. Hope this helps. I'm sure others will have suggestions for you too.
