introducing new rooster

I am going to add a rooster soon to my 23 hens. whats the best way to do this?

More experienced people will chime in with great info, but I do know to quarantine him first, so he does not introduce diseases to your flock.

Absolutely quarantine him for 30 days first.
How old is he?
What is your setup like? How much space do your girls have? How old are they?
After quarantine is over, I'd put him in a large crate with food and water smack in the middle of them and let them check him out for a day or two. If anyone starts squatting next to the crate, let him out. They're ready.

Adding a rooster is the easiest single bird addition. If your hens are laying and you do not have another rooster. Let everyone out in the biggest area you have.

There maybe a dust up or two, do not interfere. The rooster will follow the hens back to the coop at dark.
