Introducing pickles

I was just playing the 1st video when Pickles started peeping and my dog came running in here crying. LOL she loved when the babies were in the house. I think I need to have a conversation with my ducks and husband about some new ducklings. My runners are about to be a year old and this is giving me baby duck fever!

I don't know why but I am so scared to hatch them. Why? I do not have an answer. I have got fertile eggs so technically I could. They would be either Mallard or a fawn/white Indian Runner mixed with my mallard drake. Although somebody else's thread now makes me wonder if I have Rouens instead of Mallards. Everyone comments on how big Leonard is. Anyway, would that be a weird mix?

Finaly. After soo much waiting. almost 7 months of waiting. My Kahki cambpell finaly started laying eggs. She laid 5 then quit. i didnt know when she would start again so i took one that had been in the fridge for 5 days and incubated it.

Now last night it hatched in the homemade incubator, After lots of worry and help from @Miss Lydia the little ducky is on its feet and fluffed up!

Hmmm well maybe I should try to hatch then. I just don't know if my nerves could handle it if something went wrong.
