Today I introduced two roosters to my 8 hens. Most of the hens are two years old. three are four years old. They have never been bred.
Within 30 minutes the hens were huddling by the pen door and squacking a racket that would raise the dead! Are they afraid of the roosters?

Did you stay to see how the introduction would go? Can you block off part of your coop/run so the hens can see and adjust to the new arrivals without being harrassed? Aside from that, how old are the males? Sounds like they are hormonal cockerels. Two may be too much for just 8 hens.

They are doing that because there are strangers in the coop. I am concerned, though, two roosters will be hard on your flock. They may fight, and they may gang up on your hens - especially as they're trying to establish dominance over one another and the hens. At least that's been my experience with too many roosters.
