I have a very young flock (which is approximately 2 months old as you will read about below) and currently moved them into the new coop.
I bought the first 6 (3 each Barred Rock and Silver Laced Wyandotte) chicks back on February 6, 2014 and had them in my brooder box but room was running out so I moved them to the coop on March 26th.
Here is their current size as of March 25th:
I also acquired 6 baby Ameraucana chicks I put into a separate brooder box on March 15th.
There are no roo's, just hens in both groups and they will only be about a month and a half age difference between them all.
So my question is:
Am I going to have the same issues introducing them into the coop and the slightly older flock as others introducing new chickens in with older adult flocks?
This is my first round of chicks/chickens in over 30 plus years since I helped on my granddad's farm way back when so I'm having to "re-learn" everything I have forgotten over the years.
Thanks for any helpful advice.
