I have some fake crocs I got for 1.50 at CVS that I leave by the door

I love those shoes!

However, I have some pairs of very worn Crocs for poo shoes. The soles are worn completely flat, and they clean off very easily.

My wife's grandpa, the "eternal fingernailer" / tinkerer took a pair of work boots and filled the entire bottom tread with shoe goo so they would be completely flat so mud and such wouldn't stick to the bottoms.

I just have a pair of slip on shoes that are only for outside and leave them on the porch.

BTW, all 3 girls have croc knock-offs and love them. (BTW2... those croc shoes have got to be the cheapest shoes to manufacture / produce. What is it, just a couple parts of injection molding?)

I understand the traditionalist boot wearing or croc method. The advantage these have, in my opinion, is that you can stay in your "normal" shoes and not have to slip in and out of a different pair. I could dedicate a pair of shoes to the chicken yard, but I don't even want to walk to my porch to take them off if I have poop all in the treads.

great idea!! I just use some old crocs and leave them by the coop.

I use pine shavings and DE in my litter. I haven't had any poop stick to my shoes.

I wouldn't even wear a pair of those crocs to the chicken house. Those are the ugliest pair of shoes I've ever seen.

I am not high fashion at all but they are horrible and everyone says they are so comfy. Never had them. Rubber boots are still my choice. Don't you get chicken poo in those holes????
