My first thought was, "He's not waterproof enough yet!" But I rather trust this friend. She has many successful hatches. This one was not so successful, but it was her very first time with call ducks. She has another clutch in the bator now. I hope it goes better for her.

Not yet!picking him up today at 2 (west coast).

SO EXCITED. But a lil nervous, too. Haven't had a duckling for a couple of years, and I'm going to keep him in thebrooder with my special needs chicks for a while.

He's so teeny, and it looks like he's going to have dark spots on his back and maybe one side of his widdle face.

It's going fine because I have the brooder divided. Myrtle rely wants his food, though! She keeps trying to squeeze the opening in the divider.
