Hi all!
New member, longtime lurker. Just stopping by to introduce myself and following the suggested template. šŸ˜Š

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Iā€™ve raised chickens for several years, but moved a couple years back and had to re-home them. Now Iā€™m in a home where I can have them again.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
8 chicks

(3) What breeds do you have?
ISA Browns, Silkie Bantams, Easter Eggers, and one unknown.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love birds, so they are great company. The eggs ainā€™t bad either.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Birding, herping, hiking, kayaking, dog training.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a very active and outdoor oriented family.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
Iā€™ve known about the site for a while. Itā€™s always helpful when looking up information for chickens.

Had one German Shepherd and vowed to never own another - his death took too big a piece of my heart. I'm intrigued by the intelligence and intensity of Belgian Malinois. I'll stick with my easy going beagles.
