Hello, my name is Jacki and I am a new member of this community. I have 6 chickens that are 2 1/2 years old. I love my girls, but lately they have been eating their eggs. We've built slanted nesting boxes that worked for a while but recently stopped working. We've have tried so many different things but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?

Welcome to BYC.
What are your long term plans for your flock? I ask because, at 2 1/2, your birds are at the point where you will start to see a decrease in their productivity in the next laying cycles - if I were in your shoes and had my flock primarily for productivity I would cull the flock, sell the birds (with full disclosure of their habit), etc and start over with a new flock entirely so as to have the benefits of new layers and be rid of the bad habit. Bringing new birds into the flock wihout ridding yourself of hte egg eaters has a high probability of the new girls picking up the bad habit in "chicken-see, chicken-do" fashion.
