Introduction

G’Day from down under Rhonda :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group. The following might be of interest to you:
Topic of the Week - Integrating Chicks into an Adult Flock
Topic of the Week - Adding New Chickens to the Flock
Topic of the Week - Adding a Rooster to the Flock

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Best wishes for a bright and cheerful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

:welcomeWelcome! You've already gotten plenty of guidance for your integration woes. A lot depends on flock dynamics, and amount of available space, and how you've set that up to provide multi height, out of sight but no dead end areas, and multiple feed and water stations. IME, red birds tend to be more aggressive. My EE are among the most timid birds in my flock. A lot depends on the personality of the particular bird.
