Hi, here is a little about myself; I am an RN with 23 yrs of practice. I had chickens in my 20's which were raised on a small self sufficient farm and my husband, 6 children and i enjoyed both the eggs and the meat. Now nearing the end of my 40's i am keeping a small flock of hens (7). They have a different meaning for me now; I am loving each of them for their unique personalities, affection and quirkiness. I have enjoyed the support and knowledge i have encountered from "Back Yard chickens"
