(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am brand spanking new to chickens. I have two pullets that are almost 6 weeks old and 3 chicks that are a week old.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
I have a cream legbar, a 55 flowery hen, a barred plymouth rock, a golden cuckoo marans and I think a welsummer (she was a meyer meal maker add on. I don't know the breed.)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I am very into self sustainability and homesteading. Then when I got the chickens I freaking loved them.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, homesteading, baking, Disneyland
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband is a teacher. I am a full time mommy of a 2 and 3 year old and a novice homesteader.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have been searching BYC since before we moved to see if backyard chickens were legal where we lived before. Now that we live somewhere we can have them, I needed a place for support!
