Hello, I’d like to introduce myself to this website. I recently signed into this website for helpful information and Q and A’s.
We have a buckeye rooster, and three cinnamon queens. We were planning on getting chicks a week after we bought their equipment. But a random rooster walked straight into our yard! The first thing I did was assume he was our neighbors, so I contacted him only to be informed his isn’t a dark maroon color with blue tail feathers. We decided to take him as our own and put him in our chicken coop. We weren’t finished constructing our run, so we had to finish that ASAP. As the week went on, it really intrigued me that he’d grown his own unique personality. I really got attached to him fast. When we finished building the run, we decided to get three hens from one of our friends. Our hens are very docile, they’ll let you pick them up and pet them. They also have phenomenonal egg production. I’d recommend this breed to any chicken owner. We let our chickens free range and forage as they please. I’d say having chickens is a different, but astonishing experience. I will be back on this website if I have and questions!
