WELCOME TO BYC.
We are nearly done with winter for the year ~ & I don't ever get snow ~ but chooks are pretty cold hardy. My coop is completely open on one aspect. I drop a curtain if the weather gets extreme but most of the year I don't bother. And I don't have predators. ​
