You said you loved having them and their eggs. Is it just me, or do fresh eggs from the flock make anything you cook with them taste 50x better? As a kid, I thought the only reason our cakes did well at the state fair was because we used eggs from my Grandma's farm flock!

Have your children enjoyed helping with the hens at all? Also, best of luck with your new puppy! Australian Shepherds are pretty active little dogs, but very attentive and smart.

Yes, My oldest loves spoiling them with dried mealworms! :)
