(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We just got them. Yes we are both new to chickens. Our friends have them.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 20.
(3) What breeds do you have?
5 Australorps, 5 Buff Orpingtons, 5 Speckled Sussex, 5 Easter Eggers
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We love their funny personalities right now as chicks. But we look forward to having them running around our yard and having plenty of eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Photography, wood working, mountain biking, exercising/fitness, eating healthy
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
It is just my wife and I and our two crazy dogs. We own and operate a wedding photography studio and live in a tiny A-Frame in the mountains.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google searching info for chickens and coop ideas. I have known about it for about a year now. Just felt it was time since we finally got chicks.
ALSO VERY INTERESTED IN/NEED RESOURCES/IDEAS FOR: A-Frame Chicken tractor big enough for 20 chickens.
