Introduction

Hello, I am new to chickens. We recently got our first little flock of seven from the local feed store. After a little research we decided to go with Easter Eggers and so far we are loving them. I joined this group to learn more and get advice from other chicken owners.

Easter eggers are a great first chicken owner breed! They will lay beautiful blue-green eggs and the occasional pink/brown.

*Just please, never confuse the difference between Easter eggers and Ameraucanas. Research the difference between them. *

Do you have any roosters?
Could you attach some pictures of the flock? We would love to see them!

Handle them lots and lots and they should get more used to you.

We do not know if any are roosters yet. They are all supposed to be pullets and I am hopeful that is so but a couple have some very questionable feather patterns so far. They will be 4 weeks old this week. They are changing every day!
