Glad to meet you, Tierra. Here is my favorite intro to chicken keeping article. Brief, covers a lot, and has helpful pictures. Here is an article about predator proofing your coop and run, and another about ventilation for coops. You will want to set up your coop and run pretty early because those chicks grow FAST, and also put out more dust than you could believe!

You picked a great time to get chicks, though, since they will be getting old enough to lay as springtime gets close. Won't that be nice?
