I bought one now it’s this oneInkbird makes thermostats too, among other things. We use them in our brooders and have a 200 watt black ceramic bulb with UL-listed shield.
None are going to be perfect or stay perfect, so that’s why we calibrate them monthly:
CALIBRATING:
For temperature, put your H/T in a sealed Ziplock bag. Then fill a large bowl with ice, crushed ice is best if you have it. Fill it almost to the top with water and stir it around. Toss your H/T in there. It might take a few minutes, but it should read 32F.
For the hygrometer, take a soda or water bottle cap and fill it with salt. Then add a bit of water so it's saturated, but not super wet. Put that cap in the baggie with your H/T and seal it. Wait a minute or two, and it should read 75%.
