I think I will skip the weasels.... They are around here, but I haven`t seen one on our property. They would have a hard time getting through my security! Likely a good thing!Greetings & Salutations. Welcome.
Ugh, weasels. Sorry for your losses.
Pleased you joined our community. A wonderful place to Learn and have Fun.
I don't think weasels could get into the coops But if they come during the day, ours free range all day, the flocks wouldn't have a chance.I think I will skip the weasels.... Same here. They're on camera, and even an opposum's nose is on a camera far from the coop, knocking that particular camera down. Our "security" was seen moments later. We know they're out there, as well as those cute raccoons, foxes, etc., and all except for the bears, nothing gets in our yard.I think I will skip the weasels.... Do your silkies free range or are they in a contained area? Are your dogs out all day when the chickens are out?Same here. Except for the silkies in breeding pens, the rest are all free-range. The dogs are both outside dogs. They each have their own doghouse. They do come inside on occasion during the day to cool off or warm up in the winter, but otherwise, they both prefer to be outside.Do your silkies free range or are they in a contained area? Thanks. My first thought was, I bet the dogs stay outside. Have you ever had a predator problem since having outdoor dogs?Except for the silkies in breeding pens, the rest are all free-range.
