Good morning. Please allow me to introduce myself and my farm. My name is Angela and my farm is Angela's Acres. It can be found at www.facebook.com/angelasacres46845

I have had chickens for 10 years, muscovy ducks for 5 years, turkeys for 4 years, peafowl for 5 years.

I probably have 25 or 30 chickens. Who really knows anyway? I have 2 adult drakes, 5 adult hens, 3 juvenile drakes and 1 itty bitty 3 day old muscovy, with 1 hen sitting on a nest of unknown quantity eggs. I have 15 Artisen turkeys. We will keep 1 tom and 4 hens for breeding. We have 1 adult peacock, 2 adult peahens, 7 - 5 week old peachicks and 3 - 3 day old peachicks.

As far as chickens go, we have RIR, Americana, Barred Rock, Black tail French Maran, Black French Maran, Salmon Frivoile (sp), ISA brown, Easter Eggers, etc

My favorite thing is when the turkeys all go off because they heard something funny, like the horse yelling for dinner!

In addition to my 3 acre farm, I also enjoy kayaking as often as possible!

My son and I also have 1 horse, 2 barn cats, one great Pyrenees chicken tender, and 8 rescue cats (6 black) indoors.

Hello, Angela! Beautiful pictures! They are really stunning! BYC has photo contests that might be fun to enter or enjoy. What kind of kayaking do you do? I like being on the water, too. It's nice to have you here!

Thanks for joining and welcome to BackYard Chickens!
I have lots of great shots. These turkeys are not my Artisans. These are BBB that I raised 2 years ago. They were stunning. If my breeding program I am planning with the Artisans does not work out, I will be looking for Standard Bronze to raise.

I like floating and paddling. I like easy with a little challenge. I don't like climbing log jambs or white water speeds. I'm in it for the relaxing peace with nature. :)
