Hi! My name is Angel, I currently have 10 chickens. I first started out with 9, 8 girls and 1 boy. 3 Silver-Laced Whyandottes, 2 New Hampshire Reds (1 rooster), 2 Black Australorps, and 2 Buff Orpingtons. 3 of my chickens died. 1 Whyandotte, 1 Red (The rooster), and 1 Buff. That left me with 6 chickens. They are now 1 year old. We added 4 new chicks to our flock, all four are Black Sex-links. (I named all my chickens) The names of the original 9 are; Shadow (My first dead. Whyandotte. I loved her so much), Coal (Whyandotte, alive), Baby (3rd Whyandotte, alive), Ginger (rooster, dead), Emily (Red, alive), Shade (Black, alive), Feather (Black, alive. Most of her tail feathers are gone, what's up with that?!?), Jayden (Buff, alive), and Jasmine (Buff, dead.). My 4 others are; Climber, Giant, Jenn, and Cole.
I have a dog and two outdoor cats. My cats don't go after my chickens (surprisingly). I'm currently in Grade school.
I found this site when I was looking for info about why my first chicken died.
