Hi...I am Amanda. My husband, daughter, step son and I moved onto a 2 acre lot outside of Bismarck ND. We have 10 chickens. 5 of which we have had for just over a year. Besides some feather issues and “bullying” we have had great experience and great egg layers. My step son and daughter wanted silkies so we added 3 silkies to our bunch as well as 2 new chickens thinking they are Easter eggers. At least one is for sure. Not 100% on dolly the black and white one. We love having chickens and my daughter enjoys them more than her rabbit. She takes Rose (one from our first bunch- Rhode Island Red) and holds her and carries her around all over. She even holds her while she swings. Easter pics even included Rose! We have Elsa (Austrolop), Rose and Sophia (rhode island red, Blanche and Dorothy...I think they are (ipa or something like that). Then we recently got Bob Ross, Hei Hei and Amberly our Silkies and Dolly and Gizmo ( Easter eggers).

Hello! I lived in northwestern ND for 5 years. About 3 hours from Bismark, and 20 minutes from the badlands. Hands down most beautiful place I have ever been. Very underrated. Again, welcome to BYC!
