went to bed around 10, and suddenly awake at 1:50ish. Could it have been a noise that woke me? Maybe, but I can't hear anything over the window Air conditioner. Then I see a light under the bedroom door, then it's off, then on again. Then off. My son is away at a friends house, and the only other person in the house is snoring besides me. CRAP! My cell phone is on the charger downstairs besides my chair. Now my mind is racing, couldn't be the cat, and bulbs don't burn out, then come back on. Bedside draw...unlock what needs to be unlocked. The light is on again. Then off. The plan ...shut off the ac, then then annonce in a loud voice that "someone is home". That should cause any uninvited guests to leave in a hurry. Slip out of bed, slip on some shorts...shut off the AC, I pause and listen..."click" the fimilar sound of the incubator relay and the light is on again.
Feeling very stupid and very awake. Usually, there is a hall light on for my son,so the incubator light is lost in the constant light, but because he's at a friends the halllight was off. This spring there was no AC so the click of the relay was a nightly sound and it would have given away the source of the light but with the ac on.
Anyhow, I thought the was funny (in hind sight) and seeing how I wasn't going to fall back sleep till the adreline wore off, thought some of you might find this funny. Sweet dreams!
