Anyone know if birds are susceptible to Mange? We do battle with mites and lice all the time due to wild bird traffic in the pens, but none of my birds ever looked anywhere near that bad, in fact the only time I've had one even missing feathers it was because pen mates were plucking it, happened to my opal and my spalding hen.

I think I read just recently that they can get a type of mange mite.

wouldn't mange be itchy? the bird looks clean no sores from scratching .

I've seen birds with regular lice and mites without sores. I don't think she's a hybrid, I think she has bugs.
